Restaurant tips:
An ideal place to relax and recover during the summer months is the beer garden of the "Alter Hammer", located directly on the Rhine, to be reached by a leisurely stroll under the shady trees of the cathedral garden. Traditionally "the" meeting place in Speyer on hot days. This is where half of the inhabitants meet in the evening. Do not be late or try to make a reservation.
You can find the other "half of Speyer" in the beer garden of the "Domhof" near the cathedral. Again, it is usually very well attended. If possible, you should book here, too. By the way: from here it is just a comfortable 300 metres stroll through the Old Town home to "The Hidden Home".
And pure summer feeling: The "Rheinstrand" - the beach bar in Speyer close to the Rhine. With sand, deck chair and pina colada. More chilling is hardly possible. Pass the "Alten Hammer" and turn right. After 200 metres along the Rhine.
Parking in Speyer
In downtown Speyer, and especially in the old town, there are - like in other cities - problems with parking the cars. You don't normally need a car for your stay in Speyer, as most of the sights are within walking distance. You live very centrally in "The Hidden Home". It is therefore advisable to park the car in one of the parking garages after unloading the luggage. At some this is possible for a daily price from 2.50 €.
There is ample parking space on the large “Festplatz” signposted as a parking lot below the cathedral. From there it is only a few minutes' walk through the cathedral garden to the cathedral. The day ticket costs 3 €.
The closest parking garages / parking lots are at the Sparkasse, Kornmarkt or Finanzamt (only at night).
But often you will find a parking space in the surrounding streets or even free of charge at Eselsdamm, about 250m away.
A dynamic parking guidance system shows the way to 23 car parks in the city centre.
With the city tarif of 1.10 € for a day ticket on the bus lines 564, 565 and 568, you are mobile in the city center from the train station to the cathedral, Bademaxx and Technik Museum and beyond.

Aufenthalt im September 2020.
Ein tolles und einladendes Gästehaus!! Wir waren im Apartment 2 und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Eine sehr schöne Ferienwohnung. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit Liebe zum Detail!
Die Wohnung wurde uns tip-top gereinigt übergeben!
Das Hygienekonzept in diesem Haus bekommt auch hier 5 von 5 Sterne von uns!!

Wir waren zum ersten Mal zu Gast im Hidden Home und alle unsere Erwartungen wurden erfüllt.
Wohnung 2 war sehr gemütlich und bietet alles was man für ein Zuhause auf Zeit braucht. Zudem war es sehr sauber
und die Ausstattung war hochwertig und sehr gepflegt. Wir haben sogar spontan den Urlaub verlängert und würden
auch wieder eine Wohnung im Hidden Home buchen, sobald es uns wieder nach Speyer treibt.
Die Lage ist unschlagbar, alles zu Fuß erreichbar (der tolle Rhein, sehr viele gute Restaurants und die bezaubernde Altstadt und die schöne Fußgängerzone).

Bin im July 2017 für ein paar Tage im Hidden Home untergekommen,es war sehr gut, der Vermieter war sehr nett.
Es hat an nichts gefehlt ,selbst einen Stellplatz für das Auto wurde zur Verfügung gestellt.
Die Wohnung war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet genau wie im Netz beschrieben.
Werde, wenn ich nochmal in Speyer bin bestimmt wieder hierher kommen.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Hidden Home (Wohnung 3) und sehr zufrieden - auch nach längerem
Nachdenken haben wir nichts zu bemängeln oder verbessern.
Die Lage ist prima, das ganze Haus picobello sauber und es fehlt an nichts! Gerne wieder!

Über Pfingsten waren wir (2 Ehepaare) in Speyer und in " Hidden Home" untergebracht.
Wir hatten die beiden Appartements unterm Dach (Wohnung 3 und 4).
Als wir dort ankamen wurden wir zum einen überaus freundlich empfangen und waren über den Top Zustand
und die Top Ausstattung der Appartements plus liebevolle und geschmackvolle Einrichtung begeistert.
Es fehlte wirklich an nichts und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl.
Die Lage, mit der Nähe zum Zentrum ist uns sehr entgegengekommen.
Wer nach Speyer kommt und dort untergebracht ist , hat wirklich Glück gehabt.
Ganz herzlichen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt .
